I have been back and fourth with someone from the company REBELYELL clothing. They have a website but the online store is not open. I contacted them thruogh the website. A few weeks ago someone contacted me back about something I wanted to buy but not available yet and is not on sale in any other stores its a limited edition item. She told me they will be available to buy soon, So again I went back and fourth with emails for a month getting updates on the item. Finally today the woman asked me for my credit card information and shipping details.
I did ask about paypal but they said they do not use it.
I am wondering if I should go ahead with this transaction as the email is from someone that works for them that I contacted.
And if I was to take the risk what precautions should I use and would it be better for me to use a credit card instead of a debit card as I thought a credit card has more protection, If so what does that mean?
Any help would be great

Ring the RebelYell reseller and ask to speak to someone other than the person you are currently in communication with
Ask if this purchase is being done as part of their company and not as an employee sideliner.
Paying with credit card offers you section 75 protection where the credit card provider is just as liable for any issues as the company.
There are restrictions though and it could be argued that if it turned out to be employee fraud that as you communicated with them for so long and questioned their payment methods as non standard compared to their website (is this true?) then you should have had reasonable cause of suspicion.
But definitely C.C over D.C.0 -

Don't email your card details to them, at bare minimum pay over the phone. I can't believe any reputable company would accep payment like this.0

I was given a phone number and called them up.
I did so and the reason they have no online payment is because the item is requested by so many people and was a special order so only the people who requested it get priority
I'm a little stuck no idea what I should do.
I cannot find a direct phone number for REBELYELL either I keep going in circles from the corprate numbers on their site0
