CCJ against me even though I paid

I need some advice.
Here is my story.
Yorkshire water recently filed a claim against me for non payment of my bill.
The new amount I had to pay was £146.00 instead of the original £76.00.
I never recieved a bill or reminder prior to this which annoyed me and they said "We sent them but if you didnt recieve them its not our fault" which I find a disgrace and I personally think ALL Final demand letters should be posted Recorded delivery then this situation would not arise.
Anyway so I paid the £146 on time.
Then yesterday I get a letter saying a CCJ against me for this bill so I rang the court and told them I had paid.
Then I had to call YW and they said "Oh yeah our system didn't update so it is our fault and we will offer you £150 in compensation."
It will take 2-6 weeks to remove the CCJ!!!
I got refused for another mortgage last week because of this CCJ that shouldn't even be there.
SUbsequently I lost out on a property I was buying to renovate.
I know I can get more than the £150.00 compensation but does anyone have an idea of what I should go for ?
Any of you peeps know anything about the Law?
