Just had the pleasure of leaving sky phone and broadband. Now the nasty bit.
Sky and talk talk use different technology to other phone/broadband providers. I just joined o2 and was told its an £86 fee to transfer my line back to a standard BT line for o2 to use. This fee is payable to BT to make the switch. This is something sky did not warn me about when I joined them!! (although probably covered in the t&c's) O2 halved the fee plus the cashback from quidco I only end up paying £3. But still not a happy bunny. So think twice before joining either of the above. If you think you need sky to use their anytime plus service, you don't. As of easter it can be done via any broadband provider. Now to phone sky and cancel my tv with them too.

If you used to be with BT and had the line transferred to Sky, you can ask Sky to do a "return to donor" to put you back with BT and this should be free (also works with other LLU providers). Do a search for BT return to donor.0

Only if you take a 12 month contract with bt by the looks of it. Which for unlimited BB and calls would cost me about £200 more for the 12months.Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.

A return to donor with BT is free, but always requires a 12m line rental contract. You'll have the same issue with any LLU to LLU transfer. The charge is actually for a new line provision, your number is then ported to that new line.
It's nothing to do with 'different technology'.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

I have come across many places where I could find bad comments on SKY services.0
