So I got some free tickets for the family to legoland via merlins magic wand earlier this year. I saw a thread shortly after for travel lodge sale and so I waited for that and booked 2 rooms for a night in June at the slough site that co-insided with my husbands days off and the sale rooms.......

There lies the problem.....I didnt realise when booking that its the same weekend as the queens diamond jubilee. So we leave here bank holiday monday (June 4th) and stop over and then leave travel lodge for legoland on the Tuesday morning. I have booked breakfast for all of us too.

I dont really want to cancel because ive booked and paid for it all now but i'm now panicking that it will be very busy on both the monday and tuesday in slough and windsor. Arghhhh what do I do :eek:

most of the Jubillee celebrations / village partys etc up here are on the monday....

i expect everywhere will just be as busy as a normal bank holiday weekend...

Are you bragging........... lets get this right you got free tickets for legoland and Travelodge sale rooms IN WINDSOR FOR BANK HOLIDAY JUBILEE WEEKEND . Cancel them stay at home close the curtains and turn the heating up.

Most of the celebrations are in London anyway. Slough and Windsor are quite a distance out.

The main event in Windsor is actually on 19th May

We've done the same, booked a cheap holiday inn in Watford that weekend as we got cheap tickets to the England match ( via mse :-) but we are going sat- mon, heading into London on the Sunday but have accepted its going to be manic lol
