My Travel Holiday Compliant ''they Dont Care''

:mad: CAN ANY I OFFER ANY FURTHER HELP HERE MY SITUSTION HAVE A MY TRAVEL HOLIDAY COMPLAINT STAYED IN EGYPY SO ILL THOUGHT I WAS GONNA DIE & NO ONE CARE I WANT MY MONEY BACK. HAS THIS HAPPENED TO ANY ONE ELSE:mad: :mad: :mad:
Where shall I start ??!!??
first impressions of the hotel & resort is oh my god it really looks impressive.
Hotel is beautiful & the staff all very nice and more than helpful.
The food hall – well first of all you think this is nice, after the first meal you r sick of it it really poor quality. But if you not care then it b ok. I really would not recommend going her if you have children, elderly or in any poor health. Here is why.
I ate lunch chicken , salad, rice. It was not hot but little worm.
Dinner of chicken & a jacket potato this was the only think I could find that looked nice but was horrible.
Then at 4am in the morning I became so ill, woken by stabbing belly cramps & temperature. This followed onto diarrhoea & severe abdominal pains & a lump on my left hand side next to my hip bone. This moved onto vomiting & not being able to even move out of the bed or lift my head, felt like flue every muscle in body was hurting. Could not hold down a single sip of water. I felt like I was going to die I was so frightened I even had to sleep on a plastic bag to save embarrassment. As had no bowl control at all. As I suffer from panic attacks I did not want doctor call out as I knew I would have to go to hospital and be put on a drip.
visited doctor that is a waist of time he is on site He not talk English & makes you sign to say you will pay £45 each person for few tablets & rehydrating fluid. B4 he even seen to you. He not tell you what is wrong & the bill is charged to your room. He not ask any questions offer any help not look at you medical insurance, just charges bill to your room.
I spent 6 days in bed, ill throughout the whole holiday. Only there for 1 week. Joined by my boyfriend who was experiencing the same symptoms as myself.
We arranged a meeting with the hotel manager & explained how ill we became & he refunded the medical costs.
I called the my travel resort representative & explained how seriously ill we had became & asked to meet with him. I had to wait till the day we went home & was just told to fill in a complaint form. No compassion was offered or asked how we were.
I kept a diary of all events & people we spoke to concerning complaint and every event that took place. E mailed who I could as soon as I got home as I feel we contracted salmonella,
This was all back in December & now it march I have only just received a standard letter from my travel stating that due to no stool samples being sent to a pathology laboratory for analysis in Egypt .There nothing they can do. So it more than likely could have been caused by ‘sheer excitement’!!! It near on impossible to find any direct email to complain to so here one. She in the my travel legal dep. So keep it at hand you will need it. I found the whole my travel team so unhelpful and just want to fob you off & ignore you. There no customer service & they just want to you’re your money they make you feel like your nothing. Do not book with them!!! I used to use them a lot but have totally lost faith in the company now it so insulting.
At the end of the holiday I found out that another 4 couples had come down ill & spent holiday stuck in there room . All with symptoms the same as mine & my boyfriend, but they just thought it Egypt that what happens. This is not a matter to be left if you ill complain! Do not leave it.
So if you have already booked with my travel here a little check list
Take plenty of medication, if you are ill document everything, complain to the manager, complain to the my travel holiday rep fill in the complaint form .e mail complaints & comments off when you get home. Don’t just be ignored by the company if you research on the internet you will find that you have so many rights & intituled to claim ur money back by law, as long as you have completed all areas asked e.g. the correct procedures.
I feel that I did, but the only loop whole now is that I didn’t give a stool sample, but was not asked for 1 or advised to have 1. So now I will carry on with claim & take it to trading standards & even small claims court. The hotel dishes up nasty school food that makes u ill. My travel has no customer care a shady company & thinks there customers are stupid stay away from both!!!!!
THE WHOLE CUSTOMER SERVICE OFFERED BY MY TAVEL IS SHOCKING THEY JUST HAVE NO CARE AND DONT WANT TO KNOW AND DONT CARE. CAN THEY DO THIS ??? CAN ANY ONE PLEASE HELP

Sorry for your rotten experience.I always insure with a company that has a 24 hour medical helpline-this might have helped in your instance.It took me 3 tries to get the correct number from my insurer.At least that way you can ask THEM for advice as to what you should ask for.(swiftcover tried to give me various numbers including an 0870 number-till i pointed out to them 0870 doesnt work abroad!)0

Some personal injury law firms specialise in claims arising out of holiday accidents and illnesses. The firm I work for does this, so pm me if you want the number. Alternatively you can look on the Law Society website, but not sure if they list specialists in holiday cases so you'd probably have to ring round a few firms to find someone used to dealing with them, as they are a bit tricky due to the conflict of legal systems.0
