Tesco iPad refund after 2 months?

Sorry guys I posted this in the Techie section too as I'm not sure what section it applies to!
Tomorrow I'll be returning my second new iPad to the Apple store due to the dreadful wifi performance issues. It's becoming so very frustrating. !I can hardly stream anything on YouTube because 7/10 times the video stops loading after a few seconds and I have to quit out and reload. !Web pages keep getting stuck when I click on new pages and I then have to reload. !This happens all the time. !I can't stream via Lovefilm because the video stops to play at random times. !I use Plex Media Server at home to stream content from my HTPC to my new iPad but have to set the content to 480p 2Mbps otherwise it will play a few seconds before freezing (I can get 12Mbps with no issue whatsoever from my Android phone from exactly the same distance). ! I Like to watch a lot of foreign football matches via Bet365 online streaming and it is IMPOSSIBLE to watch a game for more than 30 seconds without the game cutting out and the most annoying 'Q' QuickTime logo covering the screen, forcing me to quit the feed completely and restart. !Again, I can watch these live feeds with no issues whatsoever on my Android phone. When I leave my home wifi and come back to it I always have to remove my wifi and rejoin it again every single time for some bizarre reason.
At first I initially wanted a refund. !I took it to a Tesco store and they told me I needed to take it to Apple first. !Of course I explained this was nonsense as my contract was with them but they were extremely unhelpful. !The guy who dismissed my request clearly didn't !understand their refund within 28 days policy if a device was faulty. !He didn't even bother to check it and told me that Apple was closed and I'd have to come back tomorrow. He the for some reason threatened me with debt collectors if I didn't pay the finance. He told me Tesco have their own debt collectors that will call at my door! !!!!!!???
Conveniently, I had planned to go out shopping that day and the shops were near the Apple store so I called in to see what they could do and to be honest I couldn't complain. They changed it without any issue. !The problem I now have is that this one is EXACTLY the same as the first. !I have no confidence whatsoever that the third one will be any different and now that Ive had it for almost 2 months I don't know where Tesco stand with refunding me. !I'm a little reluctant to call back into the store where I originally purchased it due to the attitude of their so called technical staff.
I purchased this through finance (Barclays I believe). If Tesco don't play ball is it a good idea to contact the finance company and see if they can do something? I am so fed up with this it is impossible to explain! £479 for what is essentially a huge step back from my Asus Transformer. !By the way, this is the same regardless of what Wifi network I am using so please don't ask me to start changing wifi channels etc. !I've tried everything! Thanks for any suggestions!

As you say, ultimately your contract is with the store and so it is with them you need to take up the issue. If the customer service adviser is unable/unwilling to ask then demand to speak to the store's customer service manager or general manager.0
