    Was also wondering about this.

Had my renewal last Monday, I noticed TC had used salary from 2010/2011 to estimate but I was made redundnant whilst pregnant and was not eligible for JSA benefits (ex was a F/T student at the time). I claimed IS from 29 weeks pg to 15 weeks after baby arrived, since then, my ex left us, told TC's, I've been claiming IS again for a month after they initially told me I was ineligible. Again, I've advised TC's

I gave the new figures for Child Tax Credit purposes only (as haven't received WTC for some time- don't work!), which were a lot lower than they estimated, about £5k lower!

Just wondering if they'd generate a payment for the difference between the figures they used from 2010/2011 and what we actually received or am I barking up the wrong tree?

I too rang them on Wednesday and got told renewal not yet sent, so we cannot log last years details, which are not important for us as we only qualified for basic CTC and as we had overpayment never got it anyhow. This year we should hopefully get basic restored as overpayment will clear in 1st 4 week payment and due to new estimated income ( I am now quite ill), so income will be well down, we might get another £8/week too. I think it is when you 1st started claiming that the order of renewals is run in, so as and when the batches for that week come up the computer runs an overnight print, enveloped and then sent out. Not sure how automatic it is. There may still need to be somebody popping the awards or packs into the envelopes.

rang through last saturday morning , 12th may 2012 with all my fingers and then checked the bank this morning and my payment has gone through as well as the additional money. Cannot complain with the speed of things this year. Can now pay my gas bill.

  • Hi decorosie

It was 7 weeks gone Thursday for mine, I rang them after 6 weeks as not heard anything, the girl said it looked like my claim had been selected for a random check probably checking that my earnings matched what the tax office had?? If I had not heard anything in another 4 weeks to ring them back, that will take it til end June so hopefully it will be sorted by then. Mine is a single claim with childcare, childcare isn't a high claim.
  • Finally, received my renewal form today :j
