I was looking for this years thread and here it is. I think in previous years it has been mentioned that depending on how quickly you replied to your renewal letter that year it would effect when you would get your renewal letter the following year, not sure if that is the case and if it is that would be a little unfair if you got your renewal in June because you could only reply in June, anyway who knows. They do have a lot of people to send them out to and probably stage it to make sure they can take all the phone calls with confirmation of figures etc. That's why it's best to try and be patient and wait for the new figures to come through rather than keep phoning up, although that is easier said than done I appreciate.
Last year mine was in a white envelope and came on the 5th May so hopefully it's winging it's way to me. I hope so because I phoned through some changes to last years income just before the end of the tax year as I realised we were heading for an overpayment. However, now I've done the accounts I've found out that I've told them we earn't £3k more than we actually did, so we'll still have been overpaid but not by as much as first feared. It would be nice to know what the actual overpayment was so that I could see what I was working with and see if I could pay it back sooner, but it will only happen in their timing not ours so it's best not to get to tetchy about it.Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!:starmod: Emergency Fund Savings - #148 - £10/£1000 1% :starmod::xmastree:#083 SPC6 £63 - SPC7 £90 - SPC8 £63 - SPC9 £54 - SPC10 £26 - SPC12 £70 :xmastree:0 -
got mine about 2/3 weeks ago, surname begins with "J" rang up about a week and a half ago to renew.
they told me not to chase it up until 11th june. although i have just checked and last week i received a one off payment from them for £190. they said if i received a one off payment not to ring up and query it.
to be honest i thought i'd be owed more than that, is it possible i could receive another one off payment or is that it?0 -

I received my renewal pack on Friday (11th). I rang with my new figures and was all done and dusted in 10 minutes.
The girl said not to contact them for a month if I hadn't had my changes notified to me in writing so I guess it's just a case of waiting and hoping it all goes through correctly.Free by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150 -
Had ours yesterday too. Sorted on the phone instantly.
Not expecting a change in payment or additional. But at least it is done now out of the way.Beyond Stressed!0 -
I had my renewal pack on Tuesday the 8th and re-newed on the phone.
I recieved my new award notice in the post the other day and recieved my potential payment in the bank yesterday (sat 12th). Its supposed to be in tomorrow but I bank with Barclays and they always put money due on a monday in on a saturday.
All in all 5 days for me, but I have no childcare and last updated my details in income etc in March, so not sure if this is why is was very quick for me.

Renewed over the phone last Tuesday and told it would take 4 weeks. Not received a new award letter yet, but potential payment from last year is in the bank today :j0

Do you have childcare on your claim or is it a single claim ? Could this be why some are taking longer to update?0
