Claiming PPI On Nationwide Mortgage 1990 - 2006

Hi
I contacted the Nationwide last week to check if I had PPI - they told me that I had. I had no idea that Ii had it - to the point where in the term of my mortgage with them I had been made redundant twice, never claimed as I was convinced I did not have it.
I moved my mortgage to a nother supplier in March /April 2006 - can I claim from Nationwide? I have some paperwork but nothing that shows I had PPI - I have lodged a telephone complaint and am waiting on paperwork from them.
Could you give me advice in terms of what I need to do and what my chances are as it was such a while ago.

You need to tell them whey you think the person who sold it mis-sold it to you.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Perhaps I haven't explained clearly.
I had no breakdown on my Mortgage statements or documentation to show any PPI insurance paid, only the Mortgage payments. I called Nationwide last week to check if there had been PPI on my account - which they informed me there had.
I have recently checked all historical loans etc and found I had PPI with Halifax and MBNA Credit Cards which I paid off in full in April 2006 so thought I would do the same with the Mortgage.
Just wanted some more expert advice on how to handle the Mortgage PPI as it was a while ago and what the chances are.
many thanks0 -
what the chances are.
Statistically, MPPI has a much lower success rate for complaints. Its mainly single premium MPPI or not eligible for cover cases that are successful. Verbal allegations with no supporting evidence rarely succeed unless there is another failing.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
