So how do you watch Ceefax on digital Tv ??
I'm watching Tv late last night on BBC2 when all programs are finished, it starts showing selection of Ceefax pages, as it used to do before switchover !!
I thought Ceefax had finished & stopped broadcasting !!
On one of pages at bottom, there was link to a page 'Ceefax on Digital Tv', page 692 I think.
Any ideas how you watch Ceefax on digital Tv ??

The digital version on BBC channels is via the red button. You can use the menus to find the page you want or the following link takes you to a (rather old) list.

Ceefax is alive and kicking on analogue in the TT and NI regions.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -

Is there a Tv program schedule on the digital text service ??
Used to be page 601-604 on ceefax.

I don't know about program schedules but the digital version of ceefax is far inferior to the old analogue one.0

I don't happen to agree and would prefer analogue text (or at least full screen text) back again.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Couldn't agree more. Digital Ceefax is slow, ponderous and with much less content than before.0 -
Sorry, but analogue text??
I'd agree that the old ceefax service was more extensive than the one which replaced it, however we now have the interweb. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -

These days I don't bother with the tv news and weather because as you have quite rightly pointed out you can get it all online but in the days while the old ceefax(and teletext) was around, I used to use them for ease of convenience as well as zero cost.0 -
Indeed, I was having a clear out the other day and found my old state of the art 56K dial up modem, those were the days!!That gum you like is coming back in style.0

So as above, the 'red button' or digital interactive service, replaces Ceefax/Teletext. You access it by, um, pressing the red button. What a lot of people don't know is that, on the BBC anyway, you can still enter numbers instead of navigating the menus - if there's a number you're used to on Ceefax, try typing it and pressing OK or select - you'll see the numbers entered top right I think as you type them. Very handy...0
