Nationwide exchange rate

Does anyone know if Nationwide CC uses a low exchange rate to offset the lack of foreign usage comission charge?

AFAIK it is Visa/Mastercard who set the exchange rates for credit cards, the banks can then load this if they choose but they cannot use a different rate.

BTW the Visa exchange rate that they use for credit cards is normally about 1% below the interbank rate (I guess this is how Visa are making their money).
