New bank account

I am now starting to get underway with my debts, I am with Lloyds at the moment & tried to set up a parachute account with Barclays, they have opened it up but with no DD's, no debit card etc.
I would like to pay in my wages to this account before I close off the Lloyds & proceed with claiming back my charges.
I need a current account with the facility of a DD & a cash card.
Does anyone know of one, bad history narrows it down a lot.
