Mechanical Breakdown insurance... Can anyone help me find some?

Wotcha folks,

I recently bought a three-and-a-bit-year-old car and I was thinking about trying to obtain Mechanical Breakdown Insurance for it. Can anyone recommend a reasonable supplier of such cover? The last time I had it was before I was a company car driver, and it seemed to be much much cheaper then! Does anyone have opinions as to whether it's a worthwhile insurance product at all, in fact?

Thanks for that, but there's something I should have mentioned: there are over 100,000 miles on the clock and warrantydirect won't quote on cars with that much mileage

Yeah, I have a warrantywise policy on my car and they have been excellent! The motoring journalist Quentin Willson is now involved in it too, which I think is good since he is always banging on about consumer advise and I don't think he would want to tarnish his name with a poor quality company! I would defo recommend them!
