Hi there,
I know this will have been covered but I cant find the thread so here gos. I have had a successful outcome with my PPI claim for an old store card. But they have deducted from the settlement an amount to clear the account. Is this legal? I havent given my permission for this. Any info welcome.

PPI claim (as in you've been sick or made unemployed) or PPI miss selling complaint?0

yes they can ofset it towards debt owed, just think its done you a favourDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Think of the interest it will save you.
Don't build up the debt again.0 -

Hi miss selling complaint that I had upheld0 -
If you owe them money then they've done you a favour by repaying it for you.
They are allowed to do this.0 -
The premiums would have been origianlly debited to the card so it seems reasonable that they are credited back to the same card.0
