Credit card suspended

Hi all, figured you may be able to give me some advice.
I have a credit card with a certain bank that will remain nameless (:P). My card was due to expire this month. I'd called them about my replacement card earlier this month since I had not received it, and was told that it was due to be dispatched soon.
I use it on a fairly regular basis just to pay some bills and normally pay this one in full at the end of the month (this is my only "active" card).
I have now had an email to say that my account has been suspended and I will not be issued a new card.
As I have said I make regular payments using the card. I never exceed my limit each month and at the very least have been paying the minimums or paying the card in full each month.
My pay has increased over the years since I have had the card and my full level of debt has dropped dramatically.
Has anyone else had a problem like this? If so how can I sort this out?
I currently only hold one other card that I have not cancelled. I mainly just use my debit card to pay for things etc.
Debt at worst: £33000 (Feb 2011). Present debt: £25610 (Apr 2012)
Lloyds old (22.4%) = 560 (Dec 2012)

    Not exactly the same but I had a Mint and Natwest card, both paid off recently and wanted to drop one card and transfer at least some of its available credit to the other.

    I originally asked for them to close the Natwest one (for no other reason than I like the silly shape of the mint card) but they said they wouldnt increase the limit on the mint card if I did that. I asked if I did it the other way round would they increase the Natwest limit and they said yes. Took a bit of talking but they said the Mint is being discontinued and so they're refusing any credit increases etc.

    Could be something that has nothing to do with you but you'll only find out by asking

    Presumably you no longer fit their standard customer profile.

    From your signature details, you seem to have a relatively high level of debt (£25,000) so, unless this is a mortgage, maybe they have modified their own criteria as to what is acceptable to them and you no longer fit into it.

    It probably does mean I no longer meet the criteria.
    Some of the debt is in the form of a student loan (about 7.5k).

    They may have done you a favour - if you always pay your card balance in full each month it may be worth looking at a cashback card to replace the one which has been withdrawn as this will give you that bit extra to help pay off the other debts.
