Balance transfer fee?

My mum has transferred £2292 from my vanquis card onto her 0% mbna card. The total plus the fee was £2374.. At the mo they've only got the £2292 on my mums card, does the fee come later? (sorry for dumb qu- I've never done a balance transfer before!)
