Barclays!!! and the case of the missing paperwork!

I wrote to Barclays to ask them for the details of a loan (and the same to Barclaycard) that was cleared in full in 2005. Both had PPI that was missold - the old "you ared virtually guaranteed to be accepted if you take PPI" trick.

Barclays have written back saying that they only keep records for 6 years and so cannot help? Is this the end of my claim or can I locate the document/loan reference elsewhere? Need less to say - I haven't heard a sausage from Barclaycard......

Any ideas folks?

Send a Sar to Barclays ask for all info they hold on you, do not ask for one piece of info as that is all you will get, when you get the info then put the claim in again.

Enclose £10 and give them 40 days to respond, some Sar requests throw info from well before the 6 years, hope yours is one of them.
