Hi,
We are going to a wedding near Northington in Hampshire in a few weeks. Can anyone recommend a cheap local taxi firm as we need to get back to Winchester to stay? Also we have an 18 month old and the only issue is that we don't really want to take a car seat around everywhere with us. Not sure how this works. Can we do this?
Thanks

hi I used to live in Winchester but dont know where Northington is, there is not much choice for taxis in Winchester but the largest, and probably cheapest is Wintax, you can ring them on 01962 878727. Also I believe (although could be wrong) that you dont have to use a car seat in a taxi. However if it is a long journey you may feel more comfortable using one, in that case ring in advance and ask if they can provide a car seat for journey.0

It is illegal to not use a child car seat in a taxi, and although inconvienent could save your childs life. Your choiceThe opposite of what you know...is also true0

It is legal for an under 3 yr old to travel in the back of a taxi if a car seat isnt available. I've had to do this a couple of times. Obviously it isnt ideal but it is legal.0
