Many people who get stu8ng by this (and yes me included) do not leave feedback because they do not want counter neg or neutral against their accounts because these people have no hesitation in leaving them but how on earth can you tell what isgenuine and what isn't? The ones I am guessing are not are going for up to £30 and the genuine ones are being sold for £55 upwards.
I am guessing it has to do with the amount of description in the specifics at the top if the listing and also the extra descriiption - some have these and some d not. I am looking for a DVD from Disney that is no longer available to buy in the shops ad I am searching and finding about 80 listings and so far only 1 that I have looked through SEEMS to be genuine because it has this extra bit in Specifics and the bit at the bottom which gives extra details.
Sure they all say they are 'new and sealed' but maybe eBay should have a check box tht says 'is genuine hologram intact' or something because don't all of the originals have the hologram and this is not on copies is it? If it is not on it can't be listed and then if you get a fake one eBay should be able to follow this up with instant suspension or something. I don't know, I am just tired of spending ages looking.
Just HOW can you tell if something is a fake apart from with FB being left which most people do not do. I don't want a fake DVD - just one from a private seller who does not want it anymore so it is a bit cheaper but the DVD new and sealed is retailing at anything up to £85 on eBay and £55 on Amazon. Eek!!!!!
Edit: Oh yes and imports. How on earth can you tell if it is an import? I am sure someone who knows can help me out here, please.
I bought a rare DVD assured as genuine, but on arrival the disc was purple not silver was clearly a bad copy, he nagged for feedback, i left none for fear of a retaliatory neg. It shouldn't be allowed I paid £25 for it!!I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

I have seen a lot of these as well - was it a Disney one as well by any chance. It should not be allowed, maybe eBay should have somewhere to send them to. My seller has said no refund as he bought to sell on - not what they wanted apparently. I am past giving a toss about the negative, more the principle. Ho hum, let them tell the TAX Man about their personal selling account and the 1000 sales a month (but with ithe items they have sold being in the feedback from sellers section - Doh!, bet they never saw that coming, LOL) and FACT about the others they have for sale from Disney at £4.99. Ho hum!! If you can't beat them..... get even!!0
