I just did it.
You have to use a different email address, obviously.
When I first registered with ebay I just chose a random name and set up an account.
When I actually wanted to buy something I thought I'd prefer a name that was obviously related to my actual name so just opened a new account. There was no problem. You might need a different paypal account. I don't know because I never used the first account to buy or sell.0 -
I'll give it another go. I have a feeling I was trying to use my own address, so I'll have a go using OH's. I think they complained about my postal address as well.Oh dear, here we go again.0

Well,I bought enchanted Xmas - so it is not there for you to buy and sell anymore

That is the only danger about posting stuff on here to ask an opinion on, someone esle might buy it before you. It is a copy I'll come back and blame you cafenervosa
Thanks again for your help and opinions.0 -
I got stung by a fake DVD. It was an obvious copy, as the box just had a printed sleeve and the image on the DVD was poor. I just emailed the seller asking for a full refund and by the way, did they know it's a criminal offence to sell copied DVDs? Needless to say, I got my money back

You should do more than that.
Once you get your refund, you report them to FACT.
You have all their details, address, ebay userID etc.
FACT would love to hear from you about them.

Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.0 -
I spent £44 on Amazon marketplace for a Disney Snow White dvd about 3 years ago. It's being re-released in October 2008 so i'll be buying one as a spare! The one I got was region 4 (Australia) but works fine on our dvd player. The region 2 ones looked a bit dodgy on eBay. Disney usually release them every 7 years.
I bought this for myself though. I can't blame my daughter.

It's region 1. That's US isn't it? It should still work on multi-region dvd players though.0 -
Well, the DVD arrived and guess what - it is a Japanese import. I am not happy. Go back and have another look at it:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=011&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&viewitem=&item=320088113274&rd=1&rd=1
Have a look at the bigger picture at the bottom of the listing. See where the flash has hit the box, look to the left and there you will see the first of the Japanese/Chinese letters that is on the box and I never saw this. They are obviously pro's at taking the photos. Very disappointed. Yes, sure I can still play it but it was very deceptive on how it was sold. Not happy!! Yes, it is Region 1 on the box but not a genuine Disney DVD!!0 -
Did get stiched up!! I have not opened it but have asked for a refund now. I am 99% sure it is a pirate as there are so many spelling mistakes on the box. The seller said she bought it from eBay to sell on - just like the other Disney ones she is selling for £4.99 then, but I thought this looked legit. Fair enough, I will await my no, and then I'll open it and report her to FACT! 2nd DVD purchase and 2nd time I have been stiched up. Thank god eBay are giving these people reduced listing fees so they do not lose too much money but not selling the obvious copies they have sale. Feel better I was not the only one taken in and thinking it was an original though!!0

I think I may, actually, if I still have their details. Is it anonymous though?0
