Interest charged after settlement of CC?

Hi does anyone know why banks charge interest against a cc the month after a balance has been settled as I am baffled about the reason for this?

Becuase your balance has attracted interest from when your statement was produced to when you eventually paid it off.

to stop interest on the CC you need to pay the balance in full for two consecutive months

It will clear after two payments
  • Thanks for your helpful comments. I was of the opinion that by settling in full by the due date that no more interest would be added; as you all say you acrue interest during the last month. Sorted!
