can i get tuition paid for hnc after starting ou course

hi can anyone help me clear this up.

im doing an nc at the moment but plan on going on to hnc next year in Scotland. i also want to start a open univerwity course this year, purely to save me time in going to uni after my hnd year, would it be possible to get my fees paid for OU and also get them paid for hnc/d when i commence on that.

My understanding is that you can only claim for one qualification at once so I think it is unlikely. The funding gets assigned to one institution (I may be wrong but this is my experience). Scotland may be different.

Sorry, I can't see the point of doing both, even if you could be funded for it. Can you explain the thinking involved in this and the subjects involved?
