Gatwick 5wks parking or one way car hire?

HELP!
Trying to find the best way to get from S. Wales to Gatwick.
Parking - so far - FAR too expensive :eek: - anyone know of deals?
One way car hire - I've drawn a blank so far. I put in Newport, Newport or Newport Wales to Gatwick & they all come up Newport VA to Gatwick. How the devil they think I'm going to ferry it over 3000 miles in 10hrs I really don't know!
Anyone got any solutions - hurry please as wanted mid March!
We live out in the sticks - which is why we'd prefer one of these options. Taxis at times we need would also cost an arm & a leg from Newport.
Awful times so don't want to ask friends - that'd really test the friendship.

We used Europcar to do this to Gatwick. Try the big companies, Avis etc and see what they have. Failing that is a taxi an option, we have also done this to Gatwick.
Sorry never spotted the taxi bit at the bottom. Its worth getting a quote as one way car hire is rather expensive as well0 -
