i stupily told them my name post code and the year of the birth.

he then said this phone call will be recorded, then try to sell me some plan about saving, supermarket etc, i rejected it and thats it

are they legit?

Vanquis? There's some info here.

A very quick scan of the messages suggest it's a call from another company, http://www.respondez.co.uk/, who try to flog you other stuff. Not sure if they're working on behalf of Vanquis or in partnership with them or someone else, meaning they've bought your data from Vanquis - presuming you're a customer?

Oh well, at least you've learned not to give out personal data to random callers.

Hope you didn't hand over any credit card or bank details. However they may have them already.

Theyre not fraudulent if that's what's you mean.

They are however annoying and since I got my Vanquis card they ring twice a week or so - I recognise their various numbers so just ignore them..

They're trying to sell some crappy vouchers that you probably won't use and carry a month fee for..
