Hi everyone!!
Finally reclaimed my money back from NatWest (Yeah!) :j and now want a new Current Account as quickly as possible! I had a look at Martins suggestions, Alliance and Leicester looks great with 0% interest in the first 12 months, but what about Coventry First? It offers a buffer zone of £250 always! And its rates look pretty good altogether. I'm no good with figures, so has anyone else taken a look at them or is using them?
Any advice??? I do often go over, I'm afraid:o , but I do not want to pay Nat West's horrendous charges anymore

It's a pretty good account with a full visa debit card, (none of these electron ones) and the interest rate counts for the full amount you have in there, not just the first £1000 or £2500.
No chequebook, though, so make sure you can live without one.Everyone needs something to believe in.

Thanks Bernard, even though I have no idea what the difference is between a full visa devit one and an electron one? But THANKS for taking the time :0) to answer!0

Exactly what charges are these, then?
There's been periods when I haven't used mine, with absolutely no charge whatsoever.Everyone needs something to believe in.

All current accounts charge for improper use.
The Coventry's are listed here http://www.coventrybuildingsociety.co.uk/coventryfirst/importantinfo.aspx#charges
I am not referring to a monthly fee for a premium accountWell life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.0 -
I see what you mean now. Your earlier comment could have been read to mean there were charges if you didn't use the account. I think the OP wanted to use the £250 int-free o/d as a buffer to prevent these sorts of things happening.Everyone needs something to believe in.
