I'm planning to go to France in te summer with my family. However, somone has warned me not to go at the same time as when the French schools have their summer break as then the roads, attractions etc are manic. Can someone tell me when the schools usually break up for summer, please?
Thanks!
Thanks!

The holidays are different in differnet regions. Try this site for a starting point:
http://www.french-property.com/reference/french_public_holidays.htm"How far you go in life depends on you being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and the strong. Because someday in life you will have been all of these."0 -

the school summer hols in france will start nationally on 4th July I believe...I think it gets very busy the first day (or w/e), mid and end of July and August as french people intend to take 2 weeks or the whole month off.(either july or august).. Those specific days are normally very busy not the rest of it...
You can check this website http://www.bison-fute.equipement.gouv.fr/diri/Accueil.do
Bison Fute is a kind of traffic information service... It's in french but should be to understand the signs...
or check this one which will tell you about traffic on motorways..

I have been to EuroDisney on a French Bank Holiday - we started queuing at 10.30 and gave up after 3/4 of an hour and went back at 1.00 after having an early lunch. I will never go to EuroDisney again knowing there is a French Bank Holiday looming! I have never seen anything like it and we had a complete wasted day - rides were packed and the kids could not get on anything and when they are little all the want is the rides. Roads might be OK but attractions like Disney are packed to the rafters!0

Thank you to everyone - a great help!0
