My m&s interview

When i arrived in the store i was asked if i was applying for the stylist role i said no as i was actually applying for customer services position. They told me the position they had was for the stylist role not for csa.

I was gutted how could they get it so wrong but hey i have another interview tomorrow at boots hey i hope they are not looking for a pharmacist cause i was allergic to chemistry.

I did double check m&S and boots vacancies they are both for customer services.

Playing Devil's advocate - could it have been a convenient method to get rid of you, as they had already chosen the candidate?

They'd have to be unbelievably incompetent to mix up the recruitment of a qualified, allied health professional with the minimum wage shop assistant roles; and I'm fairly sure that your average shop assistant's knowledge of chemistry in your local Boots is immaterial.

It did cross my mind but they really seemed genuine that they wanted a stylist not a csa.

Hey good luck with your interview I have been tentatively looking for a part time job with a few of these retailers after spending all my working life applying for jobs which took a phone call a face to face interview and either getting the job or not, but now it seems that they want your life story, two references from people with professional qualifications after their names, a credit check, police check, inside leg measurements, and a sample of blood. All for a part time minimum wage temporary job?;)

sounds like you wouldn't enjoy working there anyway. it's irrelevant how many other people she had to interview, unless you were telling her your schedule for the week? I suspect she's pretty self-absorbed.

are you able to get constructive feedback from any of the positions you've applied for?
Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?

I did not tell her my schedule for the week. She asked me when i was not available and i gave her the date.

I really want to work there but after the interview she told me she still had lots more people to interview and the head office will write to me regarding the next stage.

I am not feeling gutted about it but i will still keep on looking for other jobs maybe i may even get the job!!
