Wooden Floor Restoration

Hello

We have a real wood floor and it starting to look a bit worn I am not to sure how to attach a picture to this message does anyone know? I just wondered if anyone knew of any good ways to make the floor look a bit more presentable?

Thanks in advance
Yasmin

depending on how worn it is will depend on how you deal with it
it may need sanding , you can either get someone in to do it (reccomended ) or hire a sander , you can get ones that are virtually dust free .

or you can just give it a coat of varnish /polish , depending on what it has had put on it .
i personally would go for a total sand and then start from scratch either treat with something like sadolins wooden floor varnsih http://www.sadolin.co.uk/homeowner/products/interior/extradurablefloorvarnish/description

Hello Nick J it is looking quite worn to be honest i think it will need a professional job as i am will be no good at all. Is it a carpenter i need? I do not know how to post photos on here or i would show you what it looks like....Thank you very much for the advice most appreciated.

hi yasmin , ii would think the best bet would be to ask around , if you have neighbours they may have had their floors done or work friends , failing that other tradesmen normally have a list of contacts , one of my customers had their floor done and it looked fantastic ,
i personally wouldn't trust the rated tradepeople web sites ,

Agree. Just to emphasis, it's NOT a job for a carpenter.
