Double Glazing Replacement Woes

Hi all
We had our double glazing replaced about 5 years ago by a company called Pegasus.
Within the last month or so, we've had 2 of our fan light window handles snap off!! We tried with no luck to get through to Pegasus, and found out from FENSA that they closed down a couple years ago. So I'm going to have to fork out to get them replaced.
Any thoughts on if I should go through an independent, or should I get them done professionally? The one that's most important is the window in the bathroom ... it's all mouldy as there's no fresh air circulating
Thanks

Even if Pegasus were still going, they wouldn't be cover3ed under guarantee as handles and hinges are normally only on a 12 month guarantee.
What is the difference between a 'professional' company and an 'independent' company?
Just google 'double glazing repairs' in your area and it will come up with local repair guys. Should probably get both done for £60.00Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0 -
Thanks for that phill, I did a quick search and loads of companies who may be able to repair the handle came up ... guess I know what I'll be doing tomorrow

To be honest, I'm not entirely sure what I meant regarding the indpendent company ... when I called FENSA, they suggested that I would need to use an "independent" company to fix it??0
