can i use my credit card to pay my wifes bill?

was thinking of using my credit card to pay my wifes monthly bill then clearing my balance every month. does this seem like a good tactic?

    If you mean her credit card then you can't do that as a purchase. You'd have to make a balance transfer...which would be expensive being as your card would charge a 2-3% fee for the privilege (and interest from day one if you're not on a 0% deal).

    Why not just give your wife the money to pay her bill ? What were you hoping to gain ?

    No it's not a purchase it's a balance transfer.
    You need to check the fees and interest but unless your on a 0% deal (and even then there's 4% fees) then it's not really a good idea.
