in Credit cards
I need to pay my holiday by the end of the week. I have the money to pay in full which I will be transferring to my current account as I will not get charged the 2.5% charge if I do it this way instead of using my visa card. Someone said though that if I pay say £10 on my credit card if anything happens the whole cost of the holiday will be covered? Is this true? Even though booked through Thomas cook and took insurance was just thinking extra reassurance if this is correct. Can any one help?
Cheers

Yep. Anything over £100 - pay just even £1 on the card and you're covered . Though some people have had trouble trying to get CCs to sort things out, but yeah. I always pay my deposit on my CC and the rest from my current account0

I think it has to be a deposit of £100 yes. If something happens, they are liable to give you back your money - there is something on money saving expert about that.

£1 spend on credit card triggers the S75 protection on the full purchase.0 -
So basically if my holiday balance is £3600 if I paid £3590 on my current account as a switch and £10 on my credit card then the whole of the holiday is covered ( holiday was over £5000)?

Yep. And if you're spending that on a holiday, can I come too?!0

I have booked through thomas cook. Holiday is with net flights and tickets fir attractions are through Keith prowse ( think that's you spell), read the exceptions and think I will be still covered. To be honest the 25p it costs to pay a tenner on my credit card will be worth it for piece of mind.0
