Hoping somone can shed light on this.
I went to Canada recently and made couple of cash withdrawals on my Natwest's platinum credit card. I paid the balance as soon as it showed up under recent transactions.
Now I have recieved the statement and noticed they charged me interest as expected but then wrote it off as well.
06 APR 06 APR INTEREST - SEE SUMMARY 0.01
06 APR 06 APR INTEREST - SEE SUMMARY 0.13
06 APR 06 APR SMALL BALANCE WRITE-OFF 0.14
Them writing off seems really odd, even though intesest amount is paltry. Whats the reasoning behind? Now I have read numerous threads here where credit card providers added significant charges for customers who closed their accounts but had some interest accured over previous statements. Or maybe Natwest are in a habit of writing off small interests.

THE RBSG cards have operated 'small balance write off' for some time. I believe it's anything less than £1.0
