In administration but items available for pre-order? (curious!)

Popped into Game earlier (don't know why, they always have a naff selection of PC games!) and on the way out noticed that they had a game available for pre-order.
Given that they're in administration, is that safe for a consumer?
I have no interest in purchasing said game, I'm just curious. I've heard horror stories on here about gift cards etc so I'd be reluctant to pre-order something in case I wasn't going to get it.

A company in administration doesn't mean they will inevitably cease trading. As it happens Game is about to be acquired by OpCapita, taking it out of administration0

Wouldn't pre-order from Game anyway even before they hit administration. I pre-ordered something for a retailler-specific bonus a few months back, release day came around and I went to collect to basically be told "we didn't get any in - deal with it, and that'll be £40 for the game anyway please." Seemed incredibly regular for them to mess them up like that as well - in a friend's case they sent him the pre-order bonus, but not the actual game ordered.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0
