Hi all appologies if this is confusing but any advise would be grateful.

I have 2 argos store cards and a catalogue all 3 balances combined are approx £1,600. My husband has a 0% barclaycard for 21 months. Apparantly you can't balance transfer argos store cards to barclaycard, not sure about the catalogue. I was wondering if we paid the balances off with the barclaycard how this affects the 0% deal thingy.

I'm sorry if this sounds confusing.

I Believe argos cards don't have a 16 digit card number. like a normal credit card and this is the reason you can't transfer the balance over. what you will need is a SUPER BALANCE TRANSFER.

This will allow your " credit limit " to be transfered to a Bank Account and then you can pay it off the argos cards or use it as money. SBT ( SUPER BALANCE TRANSFER ) normaly have a fee of 4%+ however not all credit card compainies do them.

    :)

I know i am so naive but just logged on to my argos card and it says you can make a payment using MastercardDebit/ visa debit/Maestro. So still not sure

If i pay the balance is this classed as a purchase etc and not BT and Im assuming I will be charged at the 17% straight away. At least i will have only one balance at a lower rate as opposed to 3 seperate ones.
Thankyou for putting up with me being a div.
