I rang and spoke to customer services today, and voiced my displeasure at being tricked into buying something they did not advertise on their website...
yes they deliver books A_C with your first order, with the intention of sending further books at intervals
I was told it was impossible to cancel as had been despatched (although not yet received despatch email)
He told me that my grandson could ring once he receives the parcel to ask them to send a courier to collect
(which wont happen as my grandson is 3 years old, and i can imagine his displeasure at having to send back a parcel that gran has sent in the post for him!
I have asked them to note on my order that I do not wish to receive any further subscriptions for books from them..although to be honest I cannot see them honouring this once they now have my card details
I will contact Trading Standards about this too:mad:

Just checked the website and the description has now changed slightly and they've added to the end;

"The three books come with two sets of picture cards and a play mat. This is a single purchase and there is no obligation to buy any other items."

So looks like it's definitely just the 3 books but no need to worry about being charged for further books, customer services must have been taking a battering!

Thank you for your recent e-mail. I can confirm that this product contains the first three books –A, B, C along with the flash cards and play mat. Buying this item will notautomatically start the ‘Noddy’ series and send subsequent volumes.

Just replied sternly to this saying they were mis-repesenting what they were selling - if you buy an ABC book you expect the whle alphabet included do you not?

I rang to check because they came today and it does say something about receiving more books, however the girl i spk to and checked with said, that NO MORE books will be set out, just the A, b and C books, and TBH its not bad for £4.99

Got my 2 this morning.
Not sure whether to keep 1 or not for my little boy, as he is into his letters etc but we do have lots of things already.

The other one was going to be for a present, but that will definitely go back as I don't want to give something as a present that isn't a complete set really.

If I open the plastic around the books etc, I'll still be able to send it back won't I?!? Want to be able to have a proper look but not be stuck with them if I don't want them.

Hi - well have just received mine. It was for a present so I have opened the cellophane around the books as there are leaflets in there abiout more books - so not appropriate to give. The flash cards still sealed up asn is the mat. The three books are really nice and colourful - but not really sure if its naff to give just the three - but I do like the Noddy stuff.

Decided to return both the Noddy stuff plus the 2 watches ordered - one had a flimsy plastic buckle that woudl not have lasted long.
