in Cutting tax
My employer offers BUPA which it pays 50% of.
The annual premium is £1,316.29, I pay £55.64 per month so over the course of the year that is £667.68 leaving work paying £648.61.
So if a standard tax code is 747L, which I believe I should be on, should I then be put on code 682L?
I am on tax code 655L, suggesting that I am paying tax on an additional £270 which I should not be.
Is my reasoning sound?

HMRC send out letters telling you what your code number is and how it is made up. \did you not get one either at the begging of the tax year or when your tax code last changed.
Your reasoning is correct. The only thing that is constant is change.0 -

My mistake, I think I have undepaid in the previous year so it is higher due to that. So hopefully my pay will be higher next year!0
