Advice on cancelling holiday in holland

HI, we contacted an agent regarding booking a holiday in holland, we gave dates, our names and DOB and they sent booking form. 12 days later we decided to not go ahead and informed the agent BUT they said that this was a booking and demanded payment.
  1. we did not pay any money
  2. we did not receive or agree to T&C's prior to receiving the booking form
  3. we gave 142 days notice
  4. their T&C's state that reservation is confirmed once they have received signed booking form or telephonic communication from us - does this meal email?
we have spoken with Citizens advice who feel that as no money has exchanged hands and that we have not sent signed booking form that this was not a booking and we should not pay anything.

we are receiving some horrid emails from holland and they now state that this has been passed to another organisation to deal with and we will be charged for this - HELP!!

You normally have to pay a deposit when you book. Have you paid anything?

A booking form doesn't have to be physically signed to be valid. You can make a confirmed booking by phone or on the internet.

Why did you take 12 days to advise them you didn't want to go ahead?

I would tell them to go & take a running jump ....what exactly can they do ....??? Nothing ... you never signed anything & I assume that you didn't commit to the holiday on the phone?

Write back & say that as discussed that you never signed anything & never paid any money, there is no contract - then ignore all emails.
