Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 27th March. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in,put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!

As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, soplease don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help othersthat don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly butif not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you goto bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you haveto though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Morning all
Tired this morning, I had a late night, last night as I went to Basket making class I'll post a pic of what we did on my blog later.
Hubby fitted a new cooker hood yesterday as mine had stopped working, the light on the new one is much brighter, he also spent a lot of time in the garden.
Ham egg & chips for tea tonight.
It's time I fed the fish & got ready for work.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

    Morning all

NPM - hope you had a lovely birthday!

I have my speed awareness course today, so day off work, then meeting friends round mine for lunch, then spending the afternoon tidying, and doing paperwork and invoices for OH's company. Busy busy day.

OS wise- WM will go on several times if the weather keeps up, and will do a good 1hr blitz of the house.

Doing a paella for dinner tonight, so much remember to move the chicken and prawns that defrosted last night into the fridge.

    Have a lovely day all

    Morning everyone :)

Quick post from me whilst I scoff my toast.
Looks to be another nice day here, good job I have a mountain of washing to get through!!
Just the usual plod here, I don't mind but sometimes i think my days are like ground hog day :rotfl: I don't "do" much out of the home and taking off for the day isn't practical with the DD at nursery or indeed the dog.

Anyway enough waffle it's kitchen cleaning day today, vac needs pushing round. Again. BM needs to go on too.

Tea tonight will be sausage and mash with lots of veg I think.

Hugs and spoons all round xxx

    Morning everyone

Love and hugs to those that are having a hard/sad time at the moment x

Happy Belated Birthday NPM - hope you had a lovely day x

Bright and sunny but air a bit chilly had a frost overnight - but looks like being another excellent day once it warms up. Washing on line already.

Shouldn't have said yesterday "don't think it will be very busy at work" - was another manic Monday - it's becoming busy every day to the point where we don't get chance to go to the loo - as there's customers waiting all the time! Hoping today will be easier, but at least whilst it's busy we don't have to justify our jobs and I'm very grateful I still have one as I know lots don't. I'm opening today so need to be there a bit earlier.

Dinner last night was chicken goujons/fish, potatoes/jacket potato and beans/veg and HM mince pies for anyone that had room - namely the menfolk!

DH did a few jobs in the garden last night so it's beginning to take shape.

Hugs to those that want/need them, keep safe and well x

    Good Morning All

Lovely day here in Essex already :j am off out this morning to drop DD at college and pick up a couple of bits from the cheap shop. Spent a lot of money last week as it was my birthday so this week will be cutting right back.

Washing machine is not working again  have repair man coming tomorrow, hope he has the parts this time and we don't have to wait for ages.

Should be in the office this afternoon but may do housework instead and have an office day tomorrow. Cooking the kids macaroni cheese tonight (forgot the cancel the milk and have loads!) and OH and I will have lamb chops - they were half price in Tesco - can't remember the last time I had a lamb chop.

    Have a great day all.x

    Morning All,

Still feeling bruised and sore today, but greenhouse is still up!:rotfl:
Going for coffee with my MS group this morning, sitting in the garden this afternoon.
Approved food order came yesterday. I am back on my diet for the BP so thought I'd try the Slimm diet stuff..... well, I didn't read it right I think, because I seem to have ordered enough for about a year!:rotfl: Had the first soup yesterday, and a shake for breakfast today, and was pleasantly surprised, I don't feel hungry at all! Going to try and stick with it for a week, see how it goes.
BP is down again this morning, so that's good. I'll show my doctor yet!:T
Saw DD and DGD yesterday. DD is finally back to work on Friday after Occ Health cleared her, so she's happy.
Hope you all have a good day enjoy the sunshine!

    morning all,

Beautiful day again, we have been so lucky with the weather :T, got a load of towels and the bath mat in the wm, loving all this drying weather.

OH is on holiday this week, and so I have not been on here a lot, we had an afternoon out yesterday, went to a seaside town of many charity shops, and had fish and chips on the seafront :T, so the sausgaes from last night will be eaten tonight.

I have a tiny bit of office work to do this morning, and then an online shop and go and see dad, if I have time I would like to do a bit of gardening.

BB so sorry to hear about your FIL, sending hugs my lovlie xxx

    Have good days all xx

Morning ladies, bright but chilly again , going to warm up though. bath and loo mats currently sploshing round in the machine. Have no other washing to do now as was up at just gone 4 with stomach ache. Its settled now thank goodness.
Hairdressers was lovely yesterday. Even got a trim thrown in for free.:j:j. I have naturally thick curly hair but straighten it as it gets to unruley otherwise. Well speaking to the trainee yesterday along with the manager I've managed to net a brazilian blowdry (chemical straightening) with the trainee under full supervision for £20, where it usually costs £75 so well chuffed.
Andrew appeared last night, drunk , had lost his house keys and so asked if he could stay here rather than let his mum see him in that state, phoned his mum she said it was fine but to tell him she wasn't happy about the state he was in. So had a very sheepish young man at the breakfast table nursing the mother of all hangovers:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. Self inflicted so no sympathy from me.

Am going to the garden centre with my sister in a bit to pick up some fence treatment and some bedding plants, hopefully get them in this pm.
Dinner is fish with new pots and peas.
Have a great day all, hope the weather is good for you all.
