Parquet flooring advice

We have just renovated a Victorian house and are finally at the last hurdles :-) we have just had the original parquet flooring sanded and now have to choose the finish. Either oil/varnish and satin/matt. We have two children who are likely to spill things and generally bash the floor so must be hard wearing! Any suggestions?
Thanks

Hi
The answer is that both finishes are hard in terms of domestic use and indeed commercial. Oils are much easier to repair once scratched but lacquers are harder to scratch. An oil finish can be touched up in small areas where as with a lacquer the whole floor would need coating.
When you say lacquers they to have differing hardness, the two hardest are Junkers HP and Bona Traffic. These are not cheep but defiantly worth the money in the long run.
I have Osmo matt in my house! Matt or satin is purely down to your taste, i like to see the wood rather than reflections hence the matt.0
