Cancelled Wizz Air flights

Hope you can help.

A wedding party has booked Wizz Air flights (all around early Feb) and 1 of the passengers (me!) received an email to advise they wanted to change my trip from 25/4 - 30/4 to 27/4 - 30/4. The bride has called to investigate and been advised the 25/4 flight has been cancelled, as have another 4 flights in the mth. They can not explain why no one else had an email.

We are only being offered to extend our trip by 2 days or lessen our trip by 2 days. If we do not agree we will only get a refund for the cancelled flight - not the return flight which is still flying. We have been told they can not guarantee a seat as all other flights are now being "snapped up".

I would like to know if seeing as the £150 flight was booked on credit cards can we have a refund for the cancelled flight from Wizz Air and get a refund from our credit card companies for the return flight? I don't see how Wizz Air can not refund the entire amount in this situation.

HELP! thanks

It depends, MSE's article about section 75 refunds can be found here:
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/section75-protect-your-purchases

And when speaking about whether its over £100 or not, it specifically says:
Fly to Traveltown with Holidayair on flights costing £99 outbound and £9.99 back, and while it's over £100 in total, as no single ticket was over £100 you're not protected. Yet if Holidayair had only sold return journeys and you bought a specific £109 return ticket then you would be covered.

Of course even if you cant make a section 75 claim, you could always enquire about a chargeback.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride
