Halifax ISA

I currently have an ISA with the Halifax and also have a seperate savings account elsewhere. I keep these seperate as saving for different things and need to keep track of them!
Just a quick question though.
By what date do you have to have money in your ISA for when they out the annual interest on. I know its end of March/April sometime.
Was just wondering as I thought about transferring the money from my other savings account for a few weeks to get a little bit more interest then putting it back again. Would this work?

No, you only get interest based upon the number of days you have the money in your ISA. Therefore, if you put money in for one month, for example, you would get one twelfth of the annual interest rate.
Think about it, if we could all put our money in on the last day and get a years worth is interest ... now wouldn't that be fun!0 -
