Photography session rights

Hi all,
After some advice for a friend. A few weeks ago she had a photography session done (groupon special deal). Anyway she went along today to see the results. To cut a long story short when she was there there was an obvious sales pitch and she's ended up signing a contract and paying the full amount upfront (on credit card) to get the results supplied digitally and it was 300 pound. She was and still is happy about the results however after leaving she instantly regretted spending that amount and went back. They said they wont cancel it as she has signed a contract which clearly has on it that it is non refundable. She doesn't have a copy of the contract she signed.
Am looking for some advice on where to go next. I've told her to ring them again in the morning and beg for them to cancel it. If that fails then to try ringing her credit card company to see if they can help. Have I advised the right thing? Can anybody advise on a better course of action and any trading laws that might be applicable? Many thanks

You have no rights to cancel. You've also paid in full making breaching the contract and only covering their losses much harder as they could simply say your order is ready for collection, therefore already fulfilled and a refund not available0

Ok thanks for that. I feared that might be case but said I'd try and find out what may be possible. I wondered if any cooling off periods similiar to distance selling or door stop selling may apply but perhaps not. I guess the lesson is to go away and think before signing anything unless anyone has any other ideas? Thanks0

There's a lot of studios around that do free photoshoots then use high pressured sales tactics to get you to then buy the photos for thousands in some cases, you do have to e careful.
The only other advise is when in these sitiations don't take any form of payment - at least then you can reflect before purchasing.0 -
Actually I think your friend did relatively well out of this - all the digital copies by a professional for £300-odd. Some people spank thousands getting out of these places and deals!0
