Extensions and Loft Boarding!

Hi

We moved into a house in October which had been extended some years ago to provide an extra bathroom and extra bedroom.

We've just begun to lift the laminate floor in the bedroom to find that we are on loft board not actual floor boards. We now suspect that the whole upstairs extension has been laid on loft boards.

A bit of shock, but should we be concerned?

Would appreciate any info, comments etc.
