Putting blind on new UPVC widow

Pl what's the alternative if you do notwant to drill in the UPVC widow to install blind? I guess with net curtains one can use the extending rod but my window is very large over 230 cms!! Interested to know what other members do!! Thanks

A few years ago I installed nets on UPVC windows using a system that had self-adhesive pads, each of which had a small ledge at the base and a vertical pin. Extending rods could then be installed which had holes in each end so that they dropped down onto the pin.

It worked well, but I'm not sure that they did rods quite long enough for you...

If you want the blinds to be inside the reveal, you'll probably have to drill up into the lintel. Could be reinforced concrete or metal, could be messy.

I'd fix to the uPVC (using self tapping screws) . . but that's just me:rotfl:

    hi
we used perfect fit blinds from hillarys blinds - bit pricey but look really good. we have brown wood effect double glazing and the brown blind fixings match perfectly.

Any idea how much it costs for approx a bathroom window 4ft by 4 ft? Also I am thinking of white wood effect. I have seen the brown one it looks nice but hubby prefer swhite, are you happy with yours? Thanks

I got mine from here. They are more expensive than the standard blinds, but I love them they look very neat and I can use the window sill in my lounge to display photos etc without the blinds getting in the way. This site allows you to put in your measurement and you get your price immediately. Delivery is 2weeks.

    Good luck
