I have just received a letter from IDR Finance saying MBNA have outsourced my Debt to themselves. I am currently writing a complaint letter to MBNA over how they treated me and ignored all previous corresponeance even though it was sent by recorded.
IDR are saying that i should now only deal with them. What course of action should i make reguarding the complaint with MBNA and how do i deal with IDR whilst i am actioning this
Any advice is greatfully received.

Tricky one. Why not send to both and see what happens. Be sure to mention about ignoring previous correspondence. Also send signed for.
State that if they do not reply you will refer to FOS after 8 weeks.
How old is the account? Have you asked for a copy of the CCA for the account?:beer:0 -
Can not say exactly how old the account is i think about june 2007 when it was opened.
I will send the complaint letter to both IDR and MBNA. Who do i send the CCA request to IDR or MBNA and is it worth getting a SAR at the same time.Especially since the account seemed to rise very quickly in the 6 month period when i first made them aware of my difficulties. Around £1300 in that period was added.0 -
I would send he CCA request to IDR as they say they own the account. Likely to have one from 2007 I would think.
As for SAR. Not sure. Maybe MBNA at first.
Good luck

A CCA request is to establish if the debt is enforceable. The DCA would have to obtain it from the original lender but if they claim to have bought the account it's their obligation to obtain it, however, if they are just acting as agents of the OC then they will likely ask you to contact the OC directly.0 -
In the process of producing a letter and will be sending a copy and a CCA request to IDR and a copy and a SAR request to MBNA.
Just another question what do i do about making payments to the Debt. Do i arrange something with IDR now or wait for the CCA etc0 -
Personally I would not pay anything until they answer the complaint:beer:0

Hi GUYS, i too have just had a letter from IDR because MBNA have sold my debt but who are IDR? are they loan sharks and where do i go from here? all help gratefully accepted0

Had a reply from IDR stating that MBNA had my CCA and it would take up to 30 days to get it to me, so much for they own the debt etc. Nothing on the SAR yet but 40 days are not up.0

Hi,
I found this,
UP-FOR-SALE credit card giant MBNA has sold off a portfolio of debt for £55.7m.
Paragon Group has bought the “portfolio of closed UK consumer credit card receivables” from its cash reserves.
The portfolio consists of debt on which customers have defaulted. MBNA regularly sells off such debt.
MBNA itself, which employs more than 3,000 people in Chester, has been put up for sale by parent Bank of America. The Paragon deal is unconnected to that process.
When Paragon bought the debts they siad they would keep the same payment arrangements as MBNA had
I guess they have just sold some more debts off to IDR.One man's folly is another man's wife. Helen Roland (1876 - 1950)0 -
Hi,
I have recently received a claim form Northampton County Court and IDR is the claimant. This is in regards to an MBNA credit card that was defaulted while on an arrangement and I raised a complaint through the Ombudsman that has been escalated due to the complexity. However in a nut shell, MBNA had disregarded my statutory rights and had treated me under United States legislation through the "OCC" and told me that the "OCC" (Office of the Comprtoller of the Currency" is whom regulates them and not the FSA.
Since then, they had defaulted my CCA and Link Financial have been reporting on my Credit report. Now IDR want to levy a CCJ against me in northampton.I have spoken to Experian (Credit Expert) and they say that it is Link financial whom are reporting and whom have the debt and no further notice of assignment is registered. However, IDR say in their statement that they sent me one.
I know banks are corrupt but what can I do to avoid a ccj? I also live no where near Northampton.
