Best way to frost garden led deck lights...?

Just installed some led decking lights (33mm diameter)
F**k me they're bright! Is there any way of toning them down?
My thoughts were:
Sand them with very fine sand paper.
Paint them with clear matt varnish.
Stick paper circles to them.
Paint them with clear nail varnish.
Stick window fillm to them.
Anyone got any other ideas or tips?

You can get aerosol frosting spray for windows. That might do the job.0

Plastikote do a frosting spray.
You could also use glass paint.I'm not that way reclined

I had a similar problem and used frosted fablon.
Easy to cut to size and easy to use.
I got mine from b&Q something like this;
