I am due to start a job, i will be working nights and i start tonight
I will be working all over the uk.
My travelling expenses will be paid for, but i have to pay upfront myself, until i get paid in two weeks time.
My weekly train ticket this week will cost £60 plus a two hour walk every day to get there,( I can't afford the rest of the journey) and i haven't got any spare cash for my dinner etc.
Once my wages and expense in two weeks time kick in, i will be ok.
Can i get any help for the first two weeks until i get paid?

Thanks

    1. most people would use a credit card, I assume you don't have one?

A crisis loan can help. You have to ask for money for food as you had to use the money you had for food on a train ticket. As you now have no food it is a crisis. They'll lend you a small amount. You could also get a ...and I don't like saying it.... a payday loan....but please be extra careful with them. If you know for sure your expenses will be paid on time then it should tide you over. Only borrow the minimum amount such as £100. That would cost about £25 in fees. You must continue to spend as little as possible until the loans are paid off and you can start saving from your income.

:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

Is there a friend or family member you could borrow the money from?

If you have been unemployed and signing on for 6 months - you should get a £100 work grant from Job Centre?
