Not too sure were to post this, so apologies, but I figuredsomebody might have ideas to help me.
I currently view my credit report with Experian, and I’mpaying 14.99 for it per month (after the initial 30 free days).

Does anybody have any advice and tips on how I can get mycredit report from Experian for free or cheaper than 14.99? I prefer one onlinethat I can view as it gets updated!!
TIA

Natwest told me that, but I think they said I get one through the post, not one I can view online. My current account with natwest is basic but they offered me to upgrade.

You could just request one as and when required for £2.00 per report.

You could upgrade to select silver for £8.00 per month if the benefits would be of use to you, plus you would be able to use any ATM as well rather than the current restrictions.

Thanx. I didn't know they do the £2 reports. I wonder if there's any chance of me changing from the experian report to the statutory report per month.

You would have to cancel your membership with them then request a report manually every month or when ever you want one.

    Another victim of experian marketing.

You have always been able to get a stat report. Just request it when you need and save £££

Think that's what I'll do. Experian have just taken out the 14.99 for this month, so think I'll give it 3 weeks and then cancel it.

I read somewhere (think on MSE) that the Experian credit score doesn't really matter, because they not the one's who are actually giving any financial credit!! Which means that the actual financial companies score you different.

Could you explain what you mean by "you would be able to use any ATM as well rather than the current restrictions"

You could subscribe to CIFAS Protective Registration Service to guard against fraudulant applications. It will slow down any legitimate application, but that may be a price worth paying.
