Good cheap lady razors?

Apologies if this not the best suited board to post this on but I know you are a very resourceful lot and was wondering what you use for hair removal, particularly razors. A pack of my usual razors are about £6-7 which is ridiculous as its only four razor heads.

Anyone use cheaper ones that have not cut you to strips???

I use mens ones, find them far easier to use and there tends to be better deals on them in the supermarket! I either buy branded disposables (own brand ones are false economy, blunt after a couple of uses and rust quickly) when on offer, or a brand new one re-usable that comes with a couple of spare blades (again, when on offer - there's often at least one on a half price offer)

    Hi TeamNicholson,

You should get more replies on the Health and Beauty board so I've moved your thread across.

If you do a search on that board you'll find lots of threads with advice on hair removal.

yep I also use mens disposable ones - Boots brand are okay, and BIC/Wilkinson sword work fine too.

Aldi do a brand of razors called 'Lacura' it is a mans razor but it gives a really smooth shave - Costs just under £2 for the razor itself and 4 blades (i think...) Worth a go. Oh and you can also get packs of replacement blades. :)
  • I've given up on replacement blades razors as they were just getting so expensive. I now just get disposable one (they to blunt more quickly but even then work out cheaper). i tend to have a look in poundland and see what is on offer. Currently using Bic Ladies. I also use poundland and similar shops for my shaving foam. I tend to use sensitive skin mens ones such as Palmolive.

I've bought some in Lidl, think there were 4 in a pack, pink ones, can't remember how much they were but must have been reasonable & I was quite impressed, they have lasted quite a while 2. I got some bic ones a few years ago & they were terrible made a right mess of my leg's.

I use the Wilkinson Sword Extreme 3 disposables, they are normally less than 3 quid in Wilkos and often on offer in other places. don't cut my self as much as other disposables!! think when I cut myself its me not paying enough attention to what I'm doing!!

I buy those big bags of Bics or Boots own brand disposables. I used to use the expensive multi-blade branded ones where the replacement blades cost a fortune. They are slightly nicer to use, but I don't think they do the job any better. The trick to not cutting yourself is to make sure you soak the hairs beforehand and take your time.
  • I second the earlier suggestion of the mens razors in Aldi. the replacement heads are reasonably cheap and they do a grand job on my gorilla legs! I use King of Shaves (mens again!) shaving foam which though quite pricey, I only use a small splodge for both legs so my current can has lasted yonks!
I also think giving your legs a good scrub beforehand, either with a shower puff or a good body scrub helps get a good result, regardless of what razor you choose to use.
