Odd job on Job Seekers Direct

ref KNN/14033

Says the company is in SE17 which is Elephant and Castle

But look on the companies web site

http://benchmarkcleaning.co.uk/contact.html

It says they are in a street in E17 which is Walthamstow but the on the map shown its Elephant and castle

So, I look up the postcode stated on the companies website E17 4DF and it's a house in a residential street, with the right road name as stated.

The street on the companies website is in fact Crampton Street SE17

Companies house says
Name & Registered Office:
BENCHMARK CLEANING SERVICES LIMITED
59 GRANTOCK ROAD
WALTHAMSTOW
LONDON
E17 4DF
Company No. 04952562

But their accounts are over due, a bit I think

So the map on their own website is wrong and that's not a bit odd? And the postcode on the advert

I wouldn't work from someones house!

why dont you ring and ask them, they might have just made an error on the website, or have more than one location.

My own business has its postcode wrong on website (note to self to fix next week..)

I'd be suspicious after looking at their website.

They say they are a national company and claim a lot of big name clients.

However their website is !!!!. there are odd bugs on the 'contact' page and the rest has been written very badly - very much full of mistakes that non-native speakers of English make. Parts of it just sound odd, not even just errors in the English but in the overall meaning of what they are saying, for example one sentence says they clean factory floors and are also trained in floor cleaning. Huh?
True, maybe the company is owned by someone with poor English, lots of businesses are. But this business should be able to afford to pay for a professionally created/written website...
Cash not ash from January 2nd 2011: £2565.:j

OU student: A103 , A215 , A316 all done. Currently A230 all leading to an English Literature degree.

Any advice given is as an individual, not as a representative of my firm.

No not at all as that road where they are is in E17, NOT SE17, however the map shows a different road to the address on their website!

Could it be that the firm has 2 addresses, 1 for payroll, paperwork etc and the other is where the main office is.
